Security
Security is one of a number of key elements that make our service so valuable to you. A set level of security and protection is required for all computers connected to the Plexus system. A centralised reporting system alerts us to any potential security threats on the network so that we can attend to them.
Centrally managed firewall, updates, anti-virus, anti-spam and anti-spyware are deployed across the entire network, onto all workstations and servers. To help prevent threats even entering the network, our border firewalls automatically scan all incoming emails for any known virus or spyware attachments and intercepts any emails that appear suspect before they even enter the network.
To further your security our border firewalls also look for phishing emails and any emails with other suspect content that is commonly used to steal valuable information from users such as bank details, passwords, etc.
A spam filter is also employed at this point to help save you time by removing unwanted emails from cluttering up your mailbox.
Your files and folders stored on your shared network drive are obviously locked down so that only your company can access them by default. The security of your files and folders can be further managed by you to control which of your employees can access, modify or delete specified files or folders allowing you to store all of your documents in one place while preventing access to confidential information from unauthorised employees.
A minimum level of password complexity is also enforced for all users to prevent the use of weak passwords that are one of the most common security downfalls in companies IT systems today.
