IT Support
All of our services are fully supported by our support team. Most of our support is done over the telephone or by email but where necessary we do also make site visits.
Our ability to actually see your desktop (your permission is requested on your screen for this access) while we are on the phone to you allows you to actually show us what you are having difficulty with. We can then request control of your mouse and keyboard too which allows us to not only tell you but show you how to do what you are trying to do. We can also use this and similar technology to complete maintenance on your workstation without having to visit your site.
If your computer develops software faults then our team will try to help you solve these. This will even extend to the point where one of our technicians will collect your computer, backup your data and then wipe the system before installing a fresh copy of your windows and office software.
If your computer develops a hardware fault then our team will again be happy to try and help you identify the problem and where possible, complete repairs for you. Where parts are required to complete a repair we will recharge the costs to you.
While our support offering is quite extensive, there are some limitations to what support we will provide.
We will only provide support for Plexus workstations – other computers that are not managed by us, personal laptops and other computers are not covered under the included support. Also, issues that are not considered to affect a computer or users ability to use the Plexus services are also not included. (E.g. playing DVD’s and transferring personal pictures from your mobile phone.)
Where something is considered to be outside the scope of the included support, we will offer to complete the work for you on a charged basis.
Purchasing Advice
As part of our services to you we are happy to assist you with the purchasing of new IT equipment that is for use under the Plexus service. We have relationships with a number of the top UK distributors so in most cases we can actually provide the complete service by helping you select what you need, procuring, delivering, installing and configuring it.
